KEYS TO THE NEW HOME

Ohmigoodness.....I have really fallen behind with my blogs, but I will promise everyone to do better. I get a lot of phone calls when I don't blog regularly. At least I know my family of readers notice.

It actually took me days to recover from my deposition and then it was time to gear up and help Tom and Shari move into their new home. We spent hours testing paint samples and getting just the right inside color. And, it is just the perfect color.... very classy and elegant.....walls and ceilings are a smoky gray teal with accent color of a couple of shades darker. All of us are happy with the end results.

I can't say that I helped much, other than oversee painting, be the straw boss and sit and unpack boxes. My back doesn't allow for much more. The movers came last Friday and they were able to spent the first night in their new home.

Organizer Shari went into her superwoman mode and Saturday morning she had everything ship shaped for TEDDY'S 7TH BIRTHDAY PARTY for his friends. They took all the kids to the water park and then back to the house for hot dogs, potato salad, cake and ice cream. Teddy had just lost the 2nd of his front teeth and he is happily showing it off. At 5 PM she had another party for all the family members. Thankfully, Tom is a big help to her.....especially in the clean up department.

I think their neighbors were about to have a heart attack......they thought all of the kids running around belonged to the Lowells . One of the neighbors asked Wayne if all the kids were our grandchildren....teehee. I am sure there was a big sigh of relief when Wayne explained the situation.

Now it is clean up time with their old house....spiffing it up and staging it to put on the market. They will have their hands full for the next two weeks.

All for now with more post to follow soon.
Blessings.....Arizona Gramma

ACCIDENT UPDATE: Well, this past Monday I had a most unpleasant deposition taken for the Insurance Company. One of the hardest things I had to do was park underground at the Library and walk 1-1/2 blocks.....with the hot sun (105 degrees), a very sore back and leg, I was a total wreck by the time I walked (.my max for walking is about 1/2 block) to the point of the deposition. I felt like my Parkinson's brain had been fried! Next time (heaven forbid) I will take a taxi for that distance. Then....I was supposed to be bright, alert with total recall for the past 17 years. Goodness....I was having a hard time remembering what has transpired the past two years!! Needless to say....I did not do well. The tears were flowing by the time I finally got back to my car and it has taken me two days to get my Parkinson's back under control.

Many years ago, I was involved in another rear end accident (not our fault), and settlement of medical bills was simple....the adjuster came to our Attorney's office and things were settled and no deposition had to be given. This deposition was a solid 2 hours and was just plain BRUTALl! This accident was not my fault and I would gladly return my back and leg pain. With two children working for the Airlines, I could be traveling all over the Country and moving into our mobile home was part of this plan. Now I am going to be lucky to fly north this summer for our annual school reunion, family reunions and weddings. Geesh!! Enough of this....I promise to keep you updated and in a better frame of mind next time.....teehee.

I had promised the boys that I would be at their ballgame following deposition, but by the time I got there, I was in such pain that after 1/2 hour I had to leave......grrrrr! I am trying to get in that better frame of mind :-)

MOTHER'S DAY was spent with Tom, Shari and boys. Following dinner, we all returned home for much needed naps. The remainder of the day the boys spent in the pool. Our weather is very hot, but beautiful. Randy said he was filling his pockets with hot air and releasing it in Seattle. I don't think that worked.

RANDY'S VISIT: Randy was here for 5 days last week and we always look forward to his visits. He loves our Park and enjoys checking out all the new changes. He especially enjoyed watching Rob and Ted's ballgames.....and of course, they get excited when their Uncle Randy is watching them. We were able to attend Rob's violin concert.....he did such a good job, especially since he is the only 3rd grader in the orchestra. The boys standing beside Rob in the above picture is a year older....our boys are big! A few hours was spent playing baseball and bowling on the wii with them. Another first for Randy was visiting Shari's new home in Sahuarita. Like the rest of us, he is anticipating their move.

Randy and Wayne flew to Seattle together on Thursday......Wayne spent Thursday night with Randy and Dana.....Dana, bless her heart, had many meals fixed for Wayne to take with him to Bellingham. That was really appreciated. This is a short trip for Wayne and he will return next week. Hopefully for good soon, as I am needing his help more and more.

All for this time....and despite the brutal deposition....I am blessed and I remain a very grateful ARIZONA GRAMMA.

IN-N-OUT BURGERS

YUMMY.....DOES THIS EVER LOOK GOOD! We are big fans of IN-N-OUT Burgers. Years ago, when Shari lived in Southern California, we always looked forward to having one of their delicious burgers. We were happy and excited when they opened their first place in Tucson and now we have two places. This gets better......they will open a third spot and lo and behold it will be very, very close to where we live! Needless to say....this spells disaster for me as it will be oh so tempting.

As most of you know, I am very nutritious conscience, as I treat my Parkinson's alternatively.....this is fast food at it's best.
Their burgers are fresh, made to order, and with only the highest-quality ingredients. They use 100% pure American beef patties made fresh by them, free of additives, fillers or preservatives of any kind. Once grilled to perfection, they add the finishing touches....slices of real American cheese, hand-leafed lettuce, vine-ripened tomatoes. Hand sliced onions (grilled if you like). Delicious In-N-Out spread. All on an old fashioned sponge dough bun. Their french fries are the best....fresh potatoes peeled and cut by them and fried in healthy oil.....no saturated fats are used. They have a small menu and small prices. Both Wayne and I agree that the meat used has the taste of excellent quality.

Come visit us and you will definitely enjoy our Fast Food Favorite.

Definitely a Happy and Blessed Arizona Gramma.

More Ballgames

Another weekend is over and it has been crazy busy, as usual. Boy's ballgames consumed our time.....we enjoy this time with our Grandsons so much. Both boys played in different fields, but at the same time. I stay at Rob's game, as I don't have to walk far, but Wayne walks back and forth and then stays with Teddy when he is finished. This is a picture of Rob, Ted and Grandpa Lowell.....Rob was presented the Team Game Ball for pitching his first game and striking out a player. He is soooo proud, and of course, we were happy and proud of him!

Tomorrow Randy is arriving for a few days and we are looking forward to having him here. I don't believe Dana is able to come with him. He is looking forward to watching the boys play ball...... we will also be making a trip to Sahuarita to see Tom and Shari's new home. Wayne will probably be flying back to Seattle with him and will be gone for a week or so.

I'll blog more about this visit later. I am just happy to have my son here and wish Dana and Tiffany would be able to join us.

I'm thankful for our family and the blessings that God gives us.
